Infinite Scroll

2026 marks Tjep.’s 25th anniversary, celebrated with Infinite Scroll: a series of kinetic sculptures that take the most reflexive gesture of modern life — the scroll — out of our thumbs and into the room. A free-standing robot in corten steel autonomously operates a smartphone, performing the swipe we make thousands of times a day slowly and deliberately, once a minute — an ironic, unblinking eye on the spirit of our own scrolling age.

Six perform together at the Codrico Factory (Rotterdam) and Waag Futurelab (Amsterdam) this September. The work is released as a limited edition of 25 in brass, stainless or corten steel — one for each year of the studio’s practice.

The Valets in the Theatrum Anatomicum

During GLUE 2026, Tjep.’s six Valets perform in the Waag’s Theatrum Anatomicum — the anatomical theatre where seventeenth-century surgeons dissected the human body before an audience, in anatomy lessons immortalised by Rembrandt. Where doctors once laid open the body to understand it, the Valets now dissect the defining gesture of our own age: the scroll, performed slowly enough to finally be examined.
