VUURS

Tjep. collaborated with Vuurs, a Dutch startup founded by Bram Opdam, to design the exterior of Vuurs I, an eco-friendly wood stove. Named after the Dutch word for fire—"vuur".

Vuurs achieves over 90% efficiency with emissions well below global standards, making it one of the world’s cleanest heaters. Powered by Yocoon combustion technology, it uses a two-stage process: primary combustion at 400°C and secondary combustion at 1200°C with optimized oxygen infusion. This ensures minimal emissions and efficient heat storage in its concrete composite envelope for lasting warmth.
