A Personal Mark in Unique Form

Imagine a vase shaped by your own signature—a custom creation where your handwritten script becomes a tangible, one-of-a-kind object. Signature Vase, launched by Tjep. in collaboration with Droog Design in 2003, transforms your unique handwriting into a plastic vessel through cutting-edge stereolithography, redefining personalization in design.

From Script to Sculptural Design

Frank Tjepkema’s process starts with your signature: scanned, digitized, and algorithmically molded into a fluid, three-dimensional form. Crafted from lightweight, durable plastic, the vase’s curves trace the loops and lines of your handwriting, creating a piece as individual as you are. “When you buy a Signature Vase, you get something highly personal, something to be proud of,” Tjepkema says, challenging mass-produced uniformity.

A Droog Icon of Dutch Innovation

Debuting in Droog’s boundary-pushing lineup, this vase earned a place in Utrecht’s Centraal Museum permanent collection, cementing its role in 2003’s Dutch design wave. Like Tjep.’s Bling Bling or Chrysalide, it blends tech-driven craft with narrative depth, turning a simple signature into a lasting statement.

Tjep.’s Vision of Personal Craft

Signature Vase captures Tjep.’s knack for making the personal profound, crafting plastic into expressive art. It’s for those who see design as a reflection of self, not a generic accessory.
