A ring designed with you, pixel by pixel

OYUKIO rings are made of pixels, the tiny squares that built the first video games and today's emoji. Each design is a little character, symbol or monster, cast in gold, silver or platinum and set with diamonds or gemstones if you like. They're playful, and they're made to last a lifetime.

Born in the 8-bit era

I created OYUKIO at Tjep., my design studio in Amsterdam. It started with my love of early computer games like Ultima III, where a few blocky pixels were enough to build a whole world. Those limits forced pure, bold design, and that's exactly what makes a pixel ring so recognisable. The name joins two classic Japanese names, Oyuki and Yukio, as a nod to Japan, where 8-bit gaming was born. The two O's look like two rings: one for you, one for someone you love.

Celebrate your level

I believe life is best played as a game, with levels to conquer and adventures to share. An OYUKIO ring celebrates a moment in that game: an engagement, a birth, a friendship, a victory, or just you.

How it works

The collection isn't sold off the shelf.

  1. Get in touch. Tell me who the ring is for and what it should celebrate.

  2. Co-create. Starting from the collection, we develop the design together: shape, pixels, metal, stones and size. You see 3D renders before anything is made.

  3. Made for you. Your ring is crafted by hand in precious metal and becomes a one-of-a-kind heirloom.

Create your ring

Tell me what you have in mind: a date, a name, a game, a memory, or just a feeling. I'll reply within a few days, and together we'll agree on a budget that suits you before designing your ring pixel by pixel.

Sending this form costs nothing and doesn't commit you to anything. Once we're happy with the design, you'll get a quote within the agreed budget. Your ring is only made by hand after you've approved it and paid in advance.

Why you won't find OYUKIO in stores

OYUKIO was never meant for a classic jewelry display. Every ring starts with a conversation and is made for one person, so I choose creation and personal contact over quantity. You deal with the designer directly, with no middleman.
