Visionary Waters: Pushing Simplicity to the Extreme
Tjep. introduces EAU, a groundbreaking electric luxury yacht concept that redefines maritime elegance. Lead designer Frank Tjepkema and his Amsterdam-based team have distilled simplicity and refinement to their purest form, envisioning a vessel that fluidly echoes the serene, evocative qualities of water itself—tranquil, layered, and infinitely adaptable.
A Clean Revolution in Propulsion
Developed with foresight into automotive advancements, EAU anticipates a yachting era where electric car innovations enable vast onboard energy storage and seamless port charging. This 100% electric propulsion system achieves an impressive 25-knot speed, setting a benchmark for pristine luxury motor yachts. By harmonizing cutting-edge technology with a radical aesthetic, EAU heralds an energy revolution, where sustainability meets uncompromised sophistication.
Architectural Fluidity: Inspired by Nature
At 63 meters long, 13.5 meters wide, and with an 18-meter beam, EAU is engineered for precision and poise. Its aluminum hull and superstructure evoke the ribbed layering of traditional wooden planks, while water droplet motifs infuse organic grace. The crowning jewel—a droplet-shaped wheelhouse—floats like an abstract sculpture above the deck, complemented by a swimming pool and helipad for open-air indulgence. Accommodating 12 lavish cabins, EAU blends familiar craftsmanship with forward-thinking form, transforming the yacht into a floating sanctuary.
Acclaimed Innovation
EAU earned a shortlist nomination for the prestigious International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2018 in the Yacht Concept Over 40 Metres category, underscoring Tjep.'s prowess in sustainable design. This accolade follows Tjep.'s prior win in the Retail & Leisure category for the House of Tulips at Schiphol Airport, affirming Frank Tjepkema's legacy of boundary-pushing creativity.
From Tjep.'s visionary studio, EAU sails as a beacon of eco-luxury—a concept that not only navigates waters but reshapes them for tomorrow's bold explorers.
