Title Star of the moment Description We where commissioned to create an artwork for a cooking school in The Hague. After doing some research, we concluded that it would be nice if the students would have influence on the one thing they hate most about school: the school bell. Every trimester all the students are gathered together to yell something energising, the sound is recorded and afterwards diffused through the conic shaped horns, every time the bell goes. If a student has a good idea for the sound of the school bell he can propose to change it, for example he could play a saxophone tune... When the school was inaugurated by the minister of education he got the honour to speak in the school bell, he was the ‘star of the moment’. To ad some spice to the project the sound is also to be heard in the toilets of the school. The three light rings symbolise the logo and the identity of the school.
