Venice 15th of May 2015, Tjep. wins the International Yacht & Aviation Award in the category retail and leisure with the design of House of Tulips. House of Tulips is an innovative flower retail concept at the heart of Schiphol Airport operated by Aviflora. House of Tulips was recognised as the winning project out of more than 5000 votes from professionals and from the general public.
Tjep. would like to thank everybody who voted and everybody who made the project possible.
The International Yacht & Aviation Awards are initiated and hosted by design et al, a leading UK interior design magazine.

An exclusive collaboration between Wolf Gordon and Tjep.
Wolf-Gordon and Dutch designer Frank Tjepkema of Tjep. will debut Tjep. Cubism, a collection of interior surfacing materials that includes four wallcoverings, an upholstery textile, and a sheer drapery textile. A playful reference to the early 20th century cultural phenomenon, Czech Cubism, this collection features a series of striking geometric patterns −“variations on a theme” − that use the cube as the point of departure.

Bronze Age collection contains all hand crafted pieces, using traditional skills that once underpinned our very survival, each piece manually intensive, and formed from the material that represents the dawn of civilisation. 'For this project I wanted to create something totally opposite to the technology driven trends.'

Tjep. has been invited by the Trapholt Museum of Modern Art to loan its Recession Chair to their new expo Fetishism curated by Lidewij Edelkoort from 12 march 2015 until 24th of january 2016.
Tjep. is looking for design students interested in internships in the field of interior design, product design and especially computational design (Rhino + Grasshopper).
